Day 1: Cairo – Siwa OasisEarly morning departure from your hotel in Cairo by private vehicle to the impressive Siwa Oasis, on an approximately 9-hour journey through the Western Desert. Upon arrival, visit the Mountain of the Dead, where ancient pharaonic tombs carved into the rock will be explored, including the Tomb of Si Amun and the Tomb of Isis and Osiris. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. Afterwards, transfer to the hotel for check-in and a short rest. In the afternoon, visit the ancient village of Shali, a mud-brick fortress that reflects the traditional architecture of the oasis. Continue to Lake Fotnas, where you will enjoy a spectacular sunset over the Salt Lake—one of the most iconic and captivating landscapes in Egypt. Return to the hotel for overnight accommodation. Day 2: Siwa Oasis – Sightseeing and Desert SafariAfter breakfast at the hotel, begin a full day of exploration in the oasis. First, visit the Temple of the god Amun-Ra, a historically significant site where Alexander the Great was proclaimed the son of Amun—a place of profound cultural and spiritual importance. Next, visit the Salt Lakes of Siwa, where you may enjoy the unique experience of floating in their crystal-clear, highly saline waters. Continue to the famous Cleopatra’s Bath, a natural freshwater spring ideal for relaxation. During the visit, traditional Egyptian mint tea will be served. Lunch will be provided at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, depart for a desert safari in a 4×4 vehicle, crossing golden sand dunes and discovering natural water springs hidden within the desert. Visit the area known as “The Shells,” a site of notable geological interest that was once covered by the sea in ancient times. Transfer to a desert camp to enjoy dinner.
